Marielli

Stories. They begin in bed, get tangled up, and end there too. Fairy tales, comedies, dramas. Spilling wine. Scattering crumbs. Hiding away. Making the bed. Making love. Giving birth. Putting children to sleep. Asking whether he still loves you. Asking whether you still love him. Waking up in your shoes. Lying in your shoes for the very last time.

A family tradition since the First Republic
Wonderful things usually begin in bed. Like our story. And above all, the story of Terezie Täubelová. Her great-great-grandmother, Marie Líkařová, owned a linen and bedding shop in the 1920s. She cared deeply about the materials she carefully selected herself, and about the customers too — whose monograms she personally embroidered onto the bedding.

"When my 96-year-old grandmother was dying, she lay in bedding she had received as a wedding gift from her mother. It was incredibly moving. My grandmother slept in that bedding her entire life — a gift from her mother on her wedding day. The quality was truly extraordinary. That is exactly the kind of quality I decided to bring back to today's bedrooms."
Terezie, founder of MARIELI

Many years later, her great-great-granddaughter Terezie could not find bedding that brought her joy. Bedding that was truly high quality, beautiful, made from a material no one need be ashamed of. There was no other way forward than to return to the family tradition. There was no other option than to continue the legacy of Marie Líkařová.

And so the MARIELI brand was born.
